Château Clos du Roy produziert klassischen Wein der Rive Droite, der zu 90 Prozent aus Merlot und kleinen Teilen Cabernet Sauvignon und Cabernet Franc besteht. Er wird in Edelstahl vergoren und zum größten Teil in zweit- und drittbelegten Barriques ausgebaut, was seine Struktur verbessert und eine subtile Holznote mitgibt. Der 2022 ist ein ausdrucksstarker, klar auf die reife, kühle Frucht fokussierter Wein, der sich perfekt rund von guter Länge präsentiert.

It's going to benefit from just a few years of bottle age, but it should easily be an outstanding wine. I'd be happy to drink a bottle."
